This new house near Edgemont Village in North Vancouver will be the family's dream home for many years to come. They wanted a child-friendly yet elegant home where their young children could grow up comfortably without worrying about rooms being too precious for sticky fingers and toys. To encourage family togetherness, the main floor was as an open layout with rooms flowing from one to the next. Knowing that the kitchen would most likely be the hub of their home, the clients requested a dedicated workstation be created directly off the kitchen, enabling the children to do homework nearby during dinner preparation. We used a neutral palette of warm white and greys, and added timeless cabinetry and finishes that would pair nicely with changing trends in furniture and accessories.
